  • Are focused on the needs of therapist in private practice

Save Time & Money

Save yourself hours of research and avoid the pain of choosing an EHR that is not the best fit for your practice. I can help.

Pros:   Full Featured, Electronic Intake Forms & Assessments, Price, Integrated Faxing

Cons:   Lacking Polish On a Small Number of Features and Work Flow

It’s a Good Choice For Practices That: Are willing to do some setup/customization and need a wide range of functionality

Standout Features: Electronic Intakes, Comprehensive Data Collection, Array of Assessments, Customizable Client Portal Pages

In the spring of 2021, I was finally granted access to a Carepaths EHR demo so that I could update my review.  It appears that a lot of improvements have taken place since I last evaluated this system. Carepath’s EHR packs an impressive array of features. They have all the major feature categories covered and have some unique offerings like a complete suite of note and assessment templates and the ability to craft custom Client Portal pages.

Most importantly, Carepaths EHR has been given an extensive facelift to make the interface (GUI/UX) more user-friendly. Additionally, it is much more usable on mobile devices than previous versions. Carepaths EHR has a long list of features that include integrated faxing and telehealth, a complete client portal, as well as extended features that are important to practices needed to address Meaningful Use and state level HIE. They also have specific features and preference settings to address the CURES act.  There are still a handful of areas where Carepaths EHR has some issues/bugs, but, in my experience, these are now fewer and far between than in previous evaluations.

Carepaths EHR will be especially worth a look for larger practices that need some ability to customize and potentially address things like eprescribing and Meaningful Use.  That said, some smaller practices might also enjoy the wide array of features available for a reasonable price.
